Tomato, Burrata and Basil Salad

A combination of juicy tomatoes and creamy burrata cheese makes for a bright and flavorful side dish to pair with your favorite steak.  

Tomato Burrata Salad

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz fresh burrata cheese  
  • 1 lb (4 cups) cherry or grape tomatoes 
  • 1/2 red onion  
  • 2 tsp white balsamic Vinegar  
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
  • 12 basil Leaves (fresh) 
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt 
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper, to taste 

Instructions:

  1. Cut cherry tomatoes in half, length wise. 
  2. Cut red onions in quarter inch slices. 
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl with olive oil and white balsamic vinegar. 
  4. Pull apart burrata by hand and add to your salad. 
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste. 

 *Ways to spice up your salad 

  • Add avocado. 
  • Roast your tomatoes and cool before adding to the salad. 
  • Add hot pepper.
